So in a previous thread I have come to the conclusion that Keropi has gotten redness on her legs from scraping her legs along the glass bottom of a aquarium she is kept in, are there ways where I can minimize the chances of this occurring? In the process of building a new habitat for her and one for my fantasy pacman, I wanted to see if there any ideas that I could incorporate into the build process.
In my vivarium I will have a drain layer and I was wondering if I should grow a flat level of moss across the filter layer that will be above my drain layer (which will then be covered by substrate).
I remember I had purchased a green rough mat somewhere that was supposed to go beneath the substrate and it would serve as a "drainage" layer, but I would imagine it would be as equally bad for my pacmans to rub their feet along it as much as glass by itself.
Any ideas and advice are widely welcome!
