    Smile First viv

    Hey guys,
This is my first viv and I'm very open to suggestions! There is a lot of open space, but I just planted it tonight so hopefully it will grow in. I may order a couple more plants, let me know of any ideas.
    Enclosure is 24x24x24

It's very nice, especially for a first viv . Can I ask what frogs you are keeping in there?

Leucs love to climb. You will want to add some branches or vines in the tank for them to explore around on. You want to try to fill as much of the vertical space as you can and they will love you for it

I definitely want to add some more wood to the back and a couple plants on the sides on the lower portion. I just have to figure out how to use some of that space in the very back. Thanks for the tip!

You could look into magnaturals. They would be awesome in the back. Just give them a search.

No Problem. You will also want to add some leaf liter in the tank. Moss is super cool and I love to use it, but Dart frogs actually prefer to have the leaf liter to hunt in and to hide in.

If you havent already you will want to get a culture of Springtails. You can put half the culture in the tank to start a colony their and then the other half in a shoe box size plastic tub to breed and have extras to restock your vivarium with. Darts hunt them and eat them as a sort of snack between fruit fly feedings.

Speaking of fruit flies you should get your fly cultures in advance of your frogs so you can practice creating your won cultures. It is much much cheaper to culture them yourself than to continue to order more flies every 2 weeks. If you need help with culturing flies or springtails let me/us know and we will do a knowledge dump on you that will spin your head

I would recommend Isopods in the vivarium as well. They are like janitors. Very nice Viv.
