springtails and isopods in a dumpy tank, do you have to have these creatures or is it just for an eco balance, still doing research on them. suggestions please
You don't HAVE to have them. Dumpys are messy and no amount of MicroFauna will keep you from having to clean regularly, but they are good for the soil and will help clean up the tank as they can, but they will need some assistance for you

You can't have springtails or isopods in coco fiber?? I believe that you have to have a planted tank for them to work out, as ABG or a similar mix will provide a "live" soil, in which the isopods (which are detritivores) will be able to feed on decaying plant and animal matter, etc.

You can have them. Coco fiber does decay and break down and the frogs poop will be food for them, but as I said you don't HAVE to have them.
