    Default Hi

    Your tank looks very nice!

You should not feed your frogs mealworms. But not for the reason you have been told. The frogs will have a very difficult time digesting the outer shell of the mealworms

Hi! None of the gardening products you showed are good. The mat you got will work as long as those synthetic fibers can't get loose. Read the first versions of that product had the problem. If frogs can pull a piece of and ingest it while eating a cricket it could get impacted.

The link to Amazon International show the correct products and they will ship to your location: Amazon.com: eco earth: Pet Supplies. Myself prefer the Plantation Soil; but EcoEarth is only one that comes in easier to use loose form.

Another option is to get bulk coco liner available in gardens and place couple layers in bottom. Since those are organic you can actually seed them with springtails and as the top layer starts falling apart; throw it out, place the bottom one on top, and a new one underneath. Don't recall who; but a forum's White's keeper uses those as explained.

Mealworms have a hard exoskeleton and are fatty low nutrition foods that pass mostly undigested. Crickets, Dubia Roaches or similar insects are fine. If they will take them can feed not dyed earthworms (i.e. night crawlers OK, Red Wrigglers not OK) available at bait stores too .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
