I need to remove my frogs (6 tiny grey tree frogs) to overhaul and thoroughly clean their tank. This was the tank they were hatched in from eggs and lived as tadpoles. The substrate is wrong, it has an undergravel filter that needs to be removed etc.Where do I put my frogs while I do this? It should be a few hours or less. They spend the day on numerous rubber spatulas( we are new and when they emerged from the water I used what I had on hand that seemed frog safe and non toxic. we have added new climbing items but they are in love with the silly spatulas at this point)Could I just remove the spatulas with the frogs attached and place it into something with a lid for the main cleaning? The spatulas need a cleaning too but I don't want to stress the frogs. I could do the spatulas last.
Do people who know what they are doing remove the frogs for cleaning or should the permanant set up be one where items can be cleaned without disrupting the frogs so severely?
