It seems that everytime I get on this forum, I forget to give out likes, thanks, and reputation. I don't know what's up with me, but I just never do, even though I like (feeling) a LOT of the posts I see. So if anyone feels like I didn't give them enough likes, I am apologizing now

I'll also get on the forum about 2-3 nights a week and just reply and post like crazy. I wish school would let me get on more often. I use Frog Forum more than social media (then again, I don't use social media at all . . . waste of time IMO)

I use facebook for networking amongst frog and vivarium people. But that's about it. I'm way too old to even figure out what a snapchat is! Lol

You probably don't want Snapchat. It was originally created for people to send naked pictures without the worry of them being saved and/or sent out to other people

Part of the reason I stay away from mainstream social media. I feel like everyone just tries to one-up each other on how happy and perfect they are.

Hi to all that posted here....in this thread,

I just have to tune in! Me too , I can hardly keep up with all of the Facebook stuff !
However, our social star and hummingbird (Heatheranne) has, seeming, no problems at all
I miss all the late night fun.......since I go to bed early and wake up at the crack of dawn.

Bill knows me well ! ( well enough ha!) and understands how important this stuff is to me ( us) mods here on FF.
I just want to comment on the FACT that .....this tread is an exemplary discussion!

Social media can be a challenge to some of us ! Myself deleted all stuff and inactivated both a personal FB and Google accounts many years ago. Never use twitter, instagram, linkedin, etc.

Have an unpublished Google account now (required for android phone) and a FB account to visit forum's page and play Angry Birds Epic with other gamers birds. That FB account is not a month old and already on the face of a nature photographer who called a customer "sucker" and a frog breeder who posted a video of feeding a culled (defect) baby/juvenile frog to a bigger one .

Lucky me, found a way (use "X" besides post and it will offer option to block user) to eliminate these kind of annoyances and permanently remove them from FB's feed and sight !

I use FB religiously. My friends and family are in Oregon and I am on the east coast. Being able to keep in touch via facebook saves a LOT of time on my phone! It also allows me to see my nieces and nephews grow up via pics and videos. I still get a lot of phone time with friends and family but the 3 hour time difference is a big hurdle we sometimes struggle over.

I however, have found myself logging into this forum before facebook.. Addicted? Me?

Social media can be great but if misused and abused, it can be a nightmare. I terminated
by FB account a year ago and honestly find FF much better! lol And don't get me started on
youtube comments....

Ugh, yes, youtube commens are the worst! Someone once told me that they are the prime example of how society has become more openly rude . . . so true. IMO, teenagers and young adults are the primary users of Instagram, Adults mostly use Facebook now, and Twitter is just for everybody. There was one low point in which I would check Instagram instead of talking to people around me. A few months later, I pretty much quit, and am much happier now . Honestly, I think that forums, and actually talking to people, is much better than posting something and just seeing how many likes you can get and thus how popular you are.

Oh please!! The people who comment on YouTube are the top echelon of experts is every field!!

Also, since we have a few Facebook users here, I just created a community page for my builds/tanks. Feel free to check it out. Sometimes it's easier for me to update stuff on Facebook before I can do it on the forum.
