I don't know if coleus is frog safe but lllreptile lists it as a safe non-toxic plant for a terrarium. I do know they can get tall and leggy if you don't cut them back sometimes.

I have been so worried that he hasn't been getting into the water! I knew he got into the water when I had the glass dish in but I switched it out for a "real" water bowl. Haven't seen it since. I am hoping he poops! If he hasn't by this afternoon, he is in for a rude awakening. I have to clean the tank so he can sit in warm dechlor water while I am cleaning it out. He's still eating and acting as normal as he has but no poop in a week?!

I have been silently stalking this thread...I love your adorable frog!! I saw White's Tree Frogs at Petsmart and fell in love. The big fat ones don't even look real, it's amazing.
I can't wait to see this build completed!

Well, I got the filter in where I want it. Talked super hubby into running to Petco to get more tubing.. They didn't have ANYTHING that would work! By the time we got out of there (cats needed some stuff) it was too late to fight traffic to get to Petsmart in time. I will be waking up and will be standing at the doors when the open at 9am. I will be working on this tank for most of the morning. I have to get my "home" chores done first though so an early morning it is. Maybe a nap before my Oregon Ducks play and if the weather cooperates, we are hitting a haunted house tomorrow night! Hoping to have everything set up, figured out and ready for some great stuff foam before I stop tomorrow.

You may need to go to Home Depot to find tubing that will work. I had to do that with the 405 I had running the125 white's paludarium I built.

Btw, we have your Ducks' old coach in our city now. If he keeps up the poor play calling, he's gonna be the Ducks' coach again real soon lol

I love Chip Kelly. I am a little peeved at how it all went down and that he kept "that" person on his team for so long. Now that the person is gone, I can pay attention to how he is doing. (reminder: I own a rescue "pit bull" type dog and am extremely passionate about her) Give him time. It takes a little bit for him to work his magic.

I got the pump to work! Had to get super hubby's help with the new tubing. Bill, you were right, I ended up at HD and they were extremely helpful!! (It's a rare at that HD). The new tubing kinked a bit but with Super Hubby's help it's running wonderfully!

Look at it swirl!! So happy!

Now to clean the glass, open the upstairs windows and let the glueing commence!

Nice!! Glad you found everything you needed i can't say, that with the exception of asking the location of something, that a Home Depot employee was ever helpful lol

Re: chip and "that person", he had to keep him last year, he was still under contract, and kelly plays a very small role in personnel decisions.

Most of the time, I can't even find a HD employee to ask for directions lol. I got the silicon down on the pvc supports. Gotta let that dry a bit. Got my "work station" set up in the sun room and am ready to move the tank and set it on it's side as soon as the silicon sets. I, sadly have to run BACK to HD and get some good stuff foam. :/ really didn't think I would be ready for it today.. I set up more egg crate to create a hiding area for the pipes and the waterfall. Will post pics once I get more done

We got the tank out and I officially have a work bench! (sniff) Daddy will be proud!

Here is the "wall" that will hide the pipes. I will have to cut out an opening for the water to flow out of it once everything is dry. I added more egg crate to the top to hide it. I also placed some screen over it to keep the good stuff from filling in the holes

Good stuff is covered in abg mix and is ready to dry! It's nice and breezy in there so it should dry pretty well. It's also cool... Is there a low temp that would be too low for it to dry?

    Side view:

What is left of my abg... I am going to have to make more.

I attempted to tape up the bamboo that will be going across and silicone that in before using anymore good stuff but it's too humid on the freshly clean glass after putting all that abg in the tank and it won't hold the tape Guess tomorrow I can get the bamboo placed and glued down. after cutting the hole for the water fall. I also foamed up and abg covered the hole in the wood I am using for the water feature.

Tomorrow should be a productive day!

Just praying the tape holds long enough for the silicone and great stuff foam to set.. It was firmish when I left it..

The mopani had a hole that allowed water to fall where I didn't want it too. Sealed it up! It works nicely now! Just need to let the silicone/dirt dry!

Anyone know how to get great stuff foam off your hands/face? I was very thorough covering everything including myself!

Looking good Lisa!! As far as getting great stuff off, there's no way. Even their warning labels tell you there isn't anything you can use to take it off.

Know this is kind of late; but when working with glues and adhesive stuff, always wear disposable or industrial gloves .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

That's the thing, I DID!!! Went through 6 pairs of gloves!! STILL got it over my hands and on my face!! (Glasses started to fall, I grabbed them)

I think I got the stuff on my hands when I went to take the gloves off... Oh well. I can exfoliate and most should come off.

Look what's no long on it's side

I got it figured out.. Black and Decker saw... a sharpie and a scale (ruler)

    It made it inside!

    The work bench looked loney

The work bench is still loney...

I siliconed those rocks onto the pipe so they will help hold the mopani wood where I want it to be (I don't want to silicone it in case I have to get under the false bottom)

I have to wait for the silicone to dry before I place the mopani wood and set up the waterfall. I also still have to get the lights, cut a hole in the top and plant. Planting will happen after the light gets here. I am hoping to get the waterfall set up this week.

What do you think, do I need more dirt?
