a full mesh cage will never have the humidity you need. No matter how much water you have. The air movement would pull the humidity into the whole room the tank was in. This sounds like a cool idea theory, but I don't see a way for this to work. Unless you replace the mesh with glass![]()

Lol, replacing an entire mesh cage with glass is the same as building a custom glass enclosure. I agree with Paul, though, I can't think of any way that would work, unless you just got a regular lid for the tank, and only used the mesh screen for having a vining plant grow along the outside of the tank for a visual effect.
