Default Can someone suggest a good aquarium?

My 10 gallon glass aquarium that I am housing my pacman frog in somehow got a crack in the side of it and is spreading and I am in need of a new one fairly quickly.

Can someone suggest a good one to replace it? All I can seem to find is fish kits. Obviously I don't need the whole fish set up, they are pretty expensive and that would just be a waste of money.

Try craigslist. Might find some thing suitable for a reasonable price.

Deep blue professional. They are SUPPOSED to be pretty cheap, but they inflate the prices online WAY too much. 124 dollars for a 20L (and just the tank, nothing else) but in pet stores i have seen them for as little as ten dollars for a ten gallon

I have checked craigslist, there is only one listing for a 10 gallon tank in any of the local areas within driving distance... which is funny because usually there are tons of them on there. I contacted them to see if it is still available, so now its just the waiting game.

I have never seen Deep Blue Professional at Petsmart or Petco, unless I didn't look well enough? I have a locally owned petstore around here also I can check. They may have that there, and they tend to have cheaper prices on some things than chain stores.

The only good deal on chain stores is when Petco holds it's $ a gallon sale. Do check your local store; mine does carry Deep Blue. In their beginning all their glass was tempered; no they have a mix up of both tempered and non .

All are very good suggestions. if you cant find any tanks in time, rubbermaid
containers make good enclosures for pacman frogs

I talked to the person from craigslist, they actually have a couple of 10 gallon tanks and they are new. They are about 30 minutes away, but they live near my boyfriend so I can get to them this weekend. The person told me just to give them a call when I am up there and they would be available.

I have a plastic critter keeper that I put Blob in when I am cleaning his tank out, if the crack gets any worse would it be ok to put him in there temporarily? I am just worried it would not be warm enough because it is plastic and I can't keep any type of heater on it, the plastic will melt.

Ryan mentioned the rubbermaid container, would that be able to withstand a heater? My house is fairly cool, especially at night so I definitely need it.

I feel like my poor frog is going through so much right now

You can place frog in plastic critter keeper and then the whole thing inside 10G to keep at proper parameters if you think the glass is going to shatter in pieces. IMO; as long as no one hits the glass it should hold by silicone even if cracked side to side.

No one should hit the glass because the side the crack is on is facing the wall and I just cleaned his tank Friday so there is no need to be messing with it right now. It isn't completely cracked side to side, just about 3/4 of the way. That is reassuring though, I will just leave him as is for now. Thanks!

If you keep him in the critter keeper inside the tank, he should be fine, a small heat pad can be used
underneath the rubbermaid container. Stick with Carlos' idea. I would only use the rubbermaid as a last resort
