Hey this is my American Toad Gitch. I took some pictures during last nights feeding and wanted to see if you guys could tell his/her sex? He/She ate 4 smallish crickets and 1 superworm last night.
I am terrible at sexing unless they're calling...just wanted to say that (s)he is a cutie!
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
My best guess would be that hes a Male. He seems to have quite stocky arms, which is a good indication, and the placement of his ear also is a good indicator that hes a boy.
cute toad!

how long have you had him? males are smaller than females .the darkness under his chin could indicate you have a male.Females tend to have a lighter chin .I had several of those and the ratio was 4 females to 1 male .Of the 5 i caught anyways.i let mine go back into the wild this year as my friend has a pond outside of his ranch .but they are a joy to have and are much hardier than imported frogs and toads.they are more active and can eat a wider variety of foods .i love the stripe on his back here you see 2 females and a male
Thanks for the help everyone! I've only had him for about a month. Ziggy those are some cute fat girls! :P
