how long have you had him? males are smaller than females .the darkness under his chin could indicate you have a male.Females tend to have a lighter chin .I had several of those and the ratio was 4 females to 1 male .Of the 5 i caught anyways.i let mine go back into the wild this year as my friend has a pond outside of his ranch .but they are a joy to have and are much hardier than imported frogs and toads.they are more active and can eat a wider variety of foods .i love the stripe on his backhere you see 2 females and a male
