    Were those the ones that were labelled as Nicaraguan Auratus?
    I saw those and couldn't believe how bright the green on them was.
    Good price too.
    2 of my 3 dart vivs don't have water dishes in them.
    1 tank has a mistking system and the other I hand mist.

    Yes, was such a great deal! I remember seeing the auratus at the last expo for around $60

    Beautiful Frogs!

    I am not sure how a water bowl in a tank with near 100% humidity evaporates quickly. My guess is the light over your tank is drying the air out more than your realize.... But yes if the proper humidity is maintained in a Dart tank you do not need a water bowl. They will absorb the water they need through the air or the environment.

    beautiful! congrats. i was keeping a little water in my monkey pod, and it also evaporates quickly. no need for a water bowl. just make sure to mist a few times daily.
