Hi and welcome to the forum!! Thanks for stalking us :P

Your current tank 12x12x18 for us Americans is small even for 1 red. I know you mentioned upgrading them, but I have to point it out sorry. They really should be in a 24in (60ish cm) tall tank minimum, 36in (90ish cm) if possible. Waiting until they get bigger isn't a good option, but I do understand wanting to upgrade and being able to afford to upgrade. That being said

Sharing a pick of your tank would be very beneficial. As well as the current temp and humidity of their enclosure.

Maybe you could buy a new tank and set that one up as a more natural setup and then move them into it It could be a new build!

Hi everyone and thank you paul!

There is really quite little info for them here in the uk. The shop i got them from was quite helpful though, and they said that the current exo terra was fine for two for the time being, being that their on the smaller side of an inch.

The problem isn't the money with the upgrade its space. I had to move back in with the parents, so anything i want to keep HAS to fit into my room. as you can imagine with 3 fish tanks (quite large ones) i'm limited. I don't get nice 'spacey' bedrooms like you guys do! i get a small Victorian house. But a new enclosure is the first on my list of things when i move. I'm actually looking at altering a 100 cm x 40 x 50 fish tank in to a vivarium for them, turning it vertically so the height is 100. I figured that would be a way better space for them. Also i'm looking to move before christmas so hopefully this really is quite temporary.

Just as soon as i figure out how to put up pictures i will.

oh and the humidity is 70%, temprature is on the low side as it suddently got colder today but it sits at 27 during the day and drops to 24 over night. They're eating well and are really quite active over night.
