My first two pyxies when young the female had more orange than the male. Good thing I bought both and just not the one with most orange.
Here are the above and side pics, hard for me to tell whether a male or female.

I have to say female, but there are no guarantees.

Does look bit more female right now but do see some male signs there too so maybe give it a few more weeks and we'll see how it developes.

Pretty sure it's not the same with every pyxies but remember when I first started keeping pyxies my male had the strong ridges on his back like yours while the female's back was blotchy colored and more smooth looking.

The thing about this frog is that the reptile shop I bought it from had no knowledge of this frog. The owner even told me the females get bigger then the males, so I'm guessing the owner didn't calcium coat and feed the frog as often as it needed to be, so the growth of the frog could have been stunted the first couple of months of its life.

I would vote for female based on its throat markings but it would be impossible to be 100% sure based on that criteria alone.
