    Along with the knowledgable people who have answered thus far, (jace) has a lot of experience also, maybe ask her?

    Thanks for the vote of confidence, Paul, but I really struggle with sexing these guys. I would trust John-if he is reasonable sure it's female, I would place my bets on it being female. However, I think time is going to be the main factor here. I am sure in several more months, we will have a better idea of the sex. I am always want to know the sex of my frogs and toads as well, so I can understand the frustration.

    Can you have a clearer picture of it's throat. Because the first picture you posted it has too much flash to judge. i have two edulis by accident, but I'm pretty sure it's the same way sexing them

    I'd agree female. The width of the back of the skull from a dorsal view is a great indicator once they get two or three inches. The female's head ceases to widen lke the big bulls.
