Default "new" to frogs (that don't live underwater...)

    Hello everyone,
I got two 1" baby red eyed green tree frogs last month (on Aug 16th)- they have grown about 1/2" or so since then. I 'm really enjoying them, so I ordered 4 new baby ones (2 more green and 2 lutino). I will put the new ones in a 29 for quarantine for the next month. I know I would like to add some albino ones too.... at least
my question is say I want to build an enclosure for them- would a 2'x3'x5' enclosure be able to house 8-10 tree frogs where they would be happy?

Yes an enclosure that size could easily house 8 - 10 Red Eye tree frogs.

Are all 4 of the new additions coming from the same breeder/supplier? Do you know if they are Captive Bred or Wild Caught?

The 4 new ones are coming from the same breeder I got the first 2 from- they are the same age/ batch I believe even. They all are captive bred.

excellent If you need any advice on QTing them prior to add them in with the others let us know. There is an article about that around here somewhere.

Paul I have a few questions on the quarantine process.
do the the new frogs have to live in a different room than the other frogs until quarantine is done?
I ended up deciding on a 75 gallon to convert into a frog tank (I pick that up on Sat and start working on it)- until I can figure out how to make a big enclosure that doesn't weigh so much that it can't be moved.
should I wait and add all of the frogs together? Or would it be okay to put the first two frogs in and then the other ones join them a few weeks after that?

Hello and welcome to FF! More on quarantine in here: http://www.frogforum.net/general-dis...uarantine.html and http://www.frogforum.net/general-dis...ing-frogs.html.

Keeping quarantine enclosure in a separate room if available is a good idea, because some pathogens can travel through air (i.e. fungal spores). Never share anything (water dishes, feeding tongs, food dishes, etc.) between enclosures and do not return uneaten feeders to a common bin. Wash hands in hot water with soap between handling chores in different enclosures or wear disposable gloves and do replace them between enclosures.

Do not put all frogs together until a minimum 30 day quarantine with 2 negative fecals conducted 2 weeks apart are done. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

well the new frogs seem so much smaller than my frogs I've had for a month!! They are about 3/4"- 1" (like mine were when I got them)- but my bigger one is just under 2" now (I measured them tonight on the glass).

One of the new green ones went exploring when they first where put in the tank. That same one went exploring as soon as lights were out, the other 3 found a leaf and that is where they still were when I last glanced at them. I have 6 crickets in a bowl and 3 in a short cup- we will see how many are there in the morning.

here are some of the new ones:
