    Default Help please.

    Hey are these fire belly toads, im guessing they are but i have never kept or seen much of them and just want to make sure.
    And i no these are crappy pics but can anyone tell if they are male/female. all help is appreciated.

    Hello, Ed. Yes, those certainly are FBTs. I can't tell the sex of them from the pictures, but females are usually larger and more chunky than the males, and the females also usually have more webbing between the toes of the feet. Also, males are the ones that bark, females only make a release call when grabbed by an amourous male.
    If anyone else here can list any tell-alls for sexing FBTs, please do, because I'm not 100% sure these are the only ways

    Well on one of those picks( the one where im holding the frog up) it was making a noise, a little croak could this be a female ?

    Can't be too certain. Most toads will voice a release call if you grab them around the waist. I have never tried this with my FBTs, so I'm not sure.
    I did read that the Male/Female ratio is VERY high. I have 5 of them, and only one is female.

    Ok thanks i will buy some more when i have the money.
    How are these to breed, easy or hard.
    And if you don't mind could you give me a little info on the main things to do or best way to get them to breed.

    mine have never made a sound not even when I grap them up
