Those tadpoles usually end up being Cuban Tree Frogs no matter what pic they post of adults. We have had members order and care for Grey Tree Frog tadpoles that hatched into CTFs.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
That's what I figured!I didn't recognize the frogs in the pics either, knew they weren't Grays or Greens though, best as I knew. I also saw an eBay listing for a batch of MIXED tadpoles... Grays, greens, BULLFROGS, Peepers, etc, all together, with no listed restriction of where they shipped to.... *shakes head*

I just seriously don't understand if my state thinks Grays & Am Greens would be harmful to have here WHY they would allow Cuban TFs, which live in the SAME environment and EAT those guys!?NOT cool.

It is a little boggling. Best guess is they hope to lower demand for Grays and Greens and help curb their harvesting from the wild, but who knows.
It's a definite mystery to me![]()

irThumper,
Before you place a bid on eBay, I found a local shop in Albany that has frogs.
I plan on checking it out sometime this week. If you*send*me your "wish list" I'll see what all she carries or can order in.

Thanks, Abran!
Good to know who sells frogs other than the big box pet outfits. There's a pet store in Wilsonville which has Whites (they don't specify Aussie or Indo or if they are baby or adult) but they're asking basically $40 compared to Petco's $20If they are healthy captive bred I imagine the extra cost is worth it, but still. Let me know if she carries CB Aussie Whites, rather than Indos, and if she can get the blue variety. That would be awesome

If dealing with Petco; talk to them nicely and find out what day they receive frogs and when is their next White's shipment. Have them hold the frogs in their shipping container for you (prepay if necessary). That way there is no chance the White's you buy from them are exposed to any pathogens in the store enclosures.
Still QT them and get fecals done; but you are starting out with less chance of any issues since breeders are usually careful about pathogens in their stock.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Do all the Petcos sell CB vs WC? I definitely would prefer to get one out of a shipping container... those tiny enclosures they have are nasty and don't look like they're cleaned up often![]()

Is there a service where you can mail in fecal samples and receive tests back? I don't think we have anything but mammal vets around here...

Repti-Labs - Fecal Float Testing and Research Associates Laboratory; if you search internet can probably find more.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
,
The same pet store I mentioned does fecal testing. From the little info I got from her, she uses her reptile store to supplement her dragon rescue. I'll double check and ask when I go visit. I'll get back to you with her inventory, prices, and other services.
