    Thumbs up How to help red eyed tree fogs get comfortable

    Hi,I have 2 red eyed tree frog ,I take the girl red eyed tree frog eventually just to see how she is doing, when I try to take the boy out he jumps to the other side of the tank, How can I sort of tame him and make him comfortable??

    Note: I have been having the frogs for a 2 weeks

    You do not "tame" red eyed tree frogs. You should not be handling them at all. You should cover 3 sides of the tank and give them as much peace as possible so they can adjust without stress. Even if the female allows you to pick her up, it doesn't me she is tame or calm....she could easily be frozen in fear.

    I mean taking it out to change the terrarium moss, or other stuff like that

    Moss is an impaction risk. You really don't want to use it. Why, specifically, do you want to take the frog out? By that i mean what part of tank maintainence requires you to take them out? The frogs are still adjusting and each one has its own way of dealing with fear and stress. My female still doesn't like being touched even after more than a year with me. I never take my frogs out of the tank except to do a FULL tank cleaning taking everything out of the tank. If i don't need to take them out i dont. If you wish to interact with your frog then a good way is hand feeding. This lets them get used to you
