Question Why are D.Azureus so expensive in canada?

Hello FF, I'm planning to go to the next reptile expo in my area on the 14th for some dart frogs. I really love the D. tinctorius "azureus" but they are so dang expensive!! i don't even understand why but last time i was there there were 2 there for $500 And i go to check Josh's frogs and LLLreptile, $60 and $39. I understand everything is higher in price in Canada because of our health care but i don't understand why the frogs are more than tripled in price?

Ryan, 500 for 2 is a rip off.
Check breeders elsewhere, i think normal price here is 75-80 each, im gonna be looking into it too soon.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

If they are a proven pair, they will command a higher price. But $500 is ridiculous. I can get a proven pair of sweet Pumi's for less than that here.

Are you on the Canadart forum?
Get ahold of Pinkjello on there, she has a lot of darts for sale.
    She is located in Surrey.
She'll be selling frogs at the Abbotsford expo next weekend.

I've been to her place once when I got some Varadero's from her. She's got a lot of frogs.
She may not have any azuerus right now, but, I was just talking to friend who says he has some of his on hold for her.

    I probably will go Saturday.
I don't have room for more frogs, but, I might pick up some supplies.
