    Default Fbt weird behaviour

My 1 of my FBTs has been acting strangely recently. He changes colour a lot and hasnt eaten in 4 days or so. He did shed about 2 days ago. I put a worm infront of him and went away, i came back in and he was going at it trying to eat it. But when he saw me he ditched it and didnt try and get it again. Is it not eating because its scared that it can see me in its vision? It is attempting to eat but always seems to run away when i go close to viv. Any explanations as to why this is, my two other fbts are fine with me watching them di stuff so its a bit weird why this one doesnt appreciate me beung there. Any explanations as to why its like this?

    thanks,
    Tom

His shed probably did affect his appetite for a while. The fact that he keeps changing colour could indicate illness or stress. Not sure why though. It may be worth removing him to a seperate conrainer to feed, drop acloth, or pop it into a paper bag. So that he is scared he will feel more sheltered and hopefully secure and leave him. Have you tried wax worms ? If any of mine have been ill or stubborn eating a wax worm often does the trick.

All my fbts change colour. Sometikes theyre bright green then sometimes theyre dark green. Apparentpy its normal if they do this but its bad if tueyre dark for weeks. It changes due ti temp humidoty etc.

Yup this true, when mine became sick he was almost black. The fact that you raised it gave me the impression thqt it was unusualfor you Fbt, hence why the suggestion he could be ill or stressed. Rather than it being changes in temp/humidity.

Some animals are more shy than others. Something could be stressing the frog to point it's starting to affect it's appetite. Would definitely walk away from enclosure after feeding in the hope it will eat something .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Cheers guys . I think it is my presence that scares him, right now he is lime green but if im in my room for too long he goes a dark green colour. I think its because he is shy. Also is itok. If some worms escape into the viv?
