You can use a clean credit card to open his mouth also. Maybe the card would be easier for you.

I would pick up some reptaboost. It comes with a little syringe. Feed him the appropriate amount of reptaboost. You'll need a kitchen scale to weight him for the amount of powder. The instructions are in the box.

    Petco sells the Reptaboost.

It was a success! I was able to slide the corner of the credit card in the corner of his mouth and slide the worm in. But boy he was mad! He was biting down hard on the credit card and wouldn't let go lol. I'd like to thank everyone, especially Heather, for your help. I do have a couple more questions..

    1. How often should I feed him? He's about 2.5 inches from snout to vent.

    2. How much should I feed him?

    3. How often should I be dusting his food?

    4. Do I still need Reptaboost?

    5. Should I still be giving him Pedialyte soaks?

thanks again for the help. He was hopping around with the worm hanging out of his mouth lol but he finally chilled out and ate it.

He can eat daily. For now, feed him about an inch sized worm daily. He will hopefully start tong feeding for you soon.

    2. How much should I feed him?

    Above ^

    3. How often should I be dusting his food?

Calcium with vitamin D3 light dusting every other day.

Multivitamin, Such as Repashy plus calcium, one day a week but not on the same day as the Ca/D3.

    4. Do I still need Reptaboost?

If he is eating you will not need Reptaboost.

    5. Should I still be giving him Pedialyte soaks?

You will no longer need the Pedialyte soaks once he is eating. I would still set him in his water bowl every couple days. Try putting the bowl under a shaded area.

You're welcome . The goal now is to get him eating on his own, so he doesn't stress. Try a medium cricket or two every couple of days.

I'm so glad you got him to eat!

You know i see a lot of misconceptions with how much a pacman frog should eat. These frogs can go literally months without food and have nothing at all wrong with them.Until it gets sickly and weak or shows definite signs of illness much of this is just overreacting to it no longer being the eating machine you purchased.Metabolisms slow in animals as well as in people .Frogs can live off fat for a very long time .I am always against forced feeding myself .also in the summertime many houses run central air event though you keep the tank acclimated these frogs have internal clocks that says lets just sleep for a while and even hibernate .Temperature does not always have anything to do with that. Its like the old saying if it is not broken don't fix it.all i am saying is if there is nothing other than hes not eating so much like he used to wait and see if there is anything actually else going on with him. Baths in honey force feeding etc will only stress him into even more seclusion, especially if there is nothing wrong with him( they have their times and uses). Use some common sense .people write books on this and think there is only 1 way to do things or look at things , open minds find more solutions than closed ones .The most important thing for a frog is fresh water .If he has plenty of fresh water he can go a very long time without eating . I have 2 tanks set up one with just water the other with coco husk .My frogs love the water only tank and their colors became vibrant they got much more active and even more sociable towards each other .Putting them outside in the summer time allowing them to hear the sounds of crickets and other frogs literally was medicine in itself for them. you can tell they prefer the outdoors to the indoors .in my opinion these frogs can literally get depressed , even lonely .
When i got DEAN my male SAM my female perked up considerably .just having them in cages next to each other made them seem much more happy and active .What i am saying is there are many reasons a frog wont eat like it used to not all of them mean it is sick .

This is true also. Though I have seen frogs pass from starvation here as well. This is why we should encourage them to eat on their own.
