I have been looking for a looooong time for one, and even gave up hope. Untill today I ran into the local petshop to find myself some nice edulis's sitting right infront of my nose.
I couldn't give in and took one home, currently weighing in at 9 grams, the little champ allready took 2 adult nightcrawlers tonight.
Is there a caresheet for these guys, or is it the same as adspersus? And how would I go about sexing this little guy?

Follow the GABF Care sheet and you should be fine. Don't raise the temp to 90° though. There is a big difference between 90° in an enclosure and 90° outside in the open air. Sounds silly, but its true.
Staying in the Mid to low 80°s is fine. Temp drop at night does not have to be too drastic. A drop to around 78° is fine or a bit lower.
Im sure he has done extensive research on GABFs. It just so happens that the only pixie he could find happened to be a different species. As long as he is doing research now its better late than never. Especially since he can always create a simple-and necessary quarantine enclosure that he can use until the frog's permanent habitat is ready-to-go.

He/she is really cute! Its weird to think that one day itll be a MASSIVE bull frog![]()
Congrats on your new P. edulis! What is the frog's current snout to vent length? Might need to let it grow some until it can be sexed same as other African Bullfrog species. Males will develop a yellow throat, nuptial pads in front "thumbs," and call. Females are slightly smaller and sometimes keep the lighter mid-back line
.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Grabibus, I did an extensive search a long while ago, I mainly want a GABF but happend to find an edulis. Those AGBF are very rare around here. I gave him standard pacman care, it seems to boil down to the same thing, but these guys need a bigger enclosure in due time and a big waterdish.
And Carlos, it's currently around 1.1" to 1.5", with a weight of 14 grams. (he gained one third of his weight in the 4 days he was here lol)
