How many tricolor darts can i keep in an 18 inch cube viv?

Tom - starting a new thread for a question that is off topic to the thread you are reading is preferred. Asking off topic questions in someone else's thread is a good way to have your question go unanswered and that would be a shame.
The general rule of thumb is one from per 10G. an 18In cube is roughly 25 gallons. I would say 2, but no more than 3 frogs in a tank that size.

Sorry Paul, i seem to get easily carried away with questions lol. I will make sure to make a thread about my questions instead
. And thanks about the rule about 10g per frog
Don't we all. No harm no foul, I saw it in the other thread and thought it would be awful if you didn't get an answer![]()

No worries, I just don't really want Dendrobatidae to clog up a thread about Mantella really, both are genetically different and Mantella have a lot less of a following but also, would be better to start a thread (Like it is now) about it this allows you to have more answers and opinions from a greater amount of Keepers.
More than happy to answer this now, however I have already really answered this in my Mantella thread prior to you asking. Like Paul has suggested, 3-4 specimens can be comfortably housed in an exhibit that size, but honestly I wouldn't keep anything like this in anything less than a 2ft squared enclosure.
