    Hey guys,

yesterday i found this in my garden, it had fallen off the main plant and rooted in the soil under it. I pucked it up thinking it would be okay in my frog viv. Any thoughts on what it is? Thanks, tom

No clue on what it is. But most plants from our climate don't fare well in vivs. Normally, it's the humidity that gets them. I would say plant it and see how it goes.

I think it dhould be fine in my viv as its the same tamp and humidity as outside, plus it looks like it could do with some light as it was in a really shaded bit. Tbh i might have saved it . Cheers for helping Bill

That appears to be a succulent of some sort, i have those growing
and spreading in my front yard. They should do fine in the viv

Nice! Just found a huge piece with lots if roots on it, so i propigated (?) it and put in the viv. I thought id do sn experiment to find out conditions the plant likes the most. 2 of them are planted in the light, but one of them is not planted and is in 50/50 shade.

Another quick question, i put in some cat food for the woodlice to munch on, and its grown loads of white mould or something on it, is this ok? Speaking of woodlice i think i just woke up a nest of them trying to get a picture of the mould stuff XD. In the end i had to take a picture from the side of it

also i put a thread about my fern dying i few weeks ago, well its alive again! Theres two new growths coming from it! So happy as it looked really nice

If you sprinkle fish flakes, they should go crazy over it. ive tried cat & dog food but it doesn't
seem to work in my opinion. Even if you have leaf litter for them, they should be fine

Cheers Ryan , im really surprised that woodlice frim my garden are doing so well in my viv, i can see tunnels that theyve dug in the soil, really cool! Unfortunately some adult woodlice walk around on the leaf litter and the frogs get them

Circle of life woodlice wont harm the frogs if they are eaten. I commonly keep a culture of them in a separate tank

I wanted to keep a culture of them but im not allowed to . In the picture i put of the mould stuff if you look in the bottom right corner you can see a white/brown blob which is a baby woodlouse . Its weird because at the stage its at now you can see the food that its eaten inside of it :P

You put Cat food or Fish Flakes in your Vivarium with your frog? No No No No No. Please don't do this. The mold on the cat food is not good. That is bacteria forming on the soggy decaying food.

Your Isopods in the Vivarium will have plenty to eat between frog poop, decaying leaf liter, and decaying plant life. Introducing man made items such as fish and cat food is not recommended. I would clean them out ASAP.

Ive just cleaned it out, on a leaf there was a tiny black bug that was running around on it. Any ideas as to what this is?

No, they probably hitched a ride on a plant or were attracted by the mold.

I put the fish flakes in the isopod culture, not the terrarium! they
have plenty to eat in there. I had assumed that you had a culture on hand.
