Ive just seen a tiny (1-2mm) see through worm in the soil in my viv. Is this bad? Also i think i saw a spring as well which i didnt put in which is good as springs are good for the viv.
Even if you do not add a cleaning crew (which you should); live organisms can get into a vivarium with wood, leaves, plants, substrate, etc. Anything that was not totally sterile can bring in good and bad stuff. Don't think a tiny translucent worm is a danger to your vivarium .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Cheers Carlos , got worried it was some sort of parasite lol XD. I do have a clean up crew (some woodlice that i bred from my garden). Ive seen loads of new baby woodlice in there so thats good . Now im in the process if breeding so more for the viv/food for the fbts
Do you happen to have a photo?

Sounds a bit like a springtail, though they tend to be more white than clear.

I have what sounds like what you are describing in mine as well, and I can see them on the piece of wood mostly. I have traced them to whatever is making the silk threads in there, which I am fairly certain are what turned into the fungus gnat I found in there... so fungus gnat larvae I would guess.
R they bad?
No, they are like Paul. Not bad for your vivarium, they're just annoying

Haha lol Bill, i dont mind if i see loads of wiggly things in there, males it more natural
my cobalt tries to eat them, but can't get them from the grooves of the wood. It's entertaining to watch though... he will go for any spec that moves! I watched him eat a lot of tiny mites yesterday. He's a very good hunter. I also saw a couple things that looked like springtails in my viv (which he ate of course). Makes me happy since my culture does not look to be booming yet lol.
I saw my fbts trying to get a 0.5mm fly the other day, it was so funny as they were literally launching themselves up the side of the viv ti get it lol XD
