There is big possibility the gel piece came in with the feeders . Insects should be same size or smaller than distance between toad's eyes. Don't think the water crystal would cause impaction. However; if frog can't dislodge or everts it's stomach to try and get rid of it, it could create a more serious or even lethal situation .
