Hi everyone I am looking for a good frog toad or Tree frog that is good to keep in your Bedroom because I still live with my mom and step dad so I have to keep them in my room I am a beginner
at keeping Frogs and where is a good place to buy two frogs toads or Tree Frogs in Indianapolis Indian and all there supplies
Leopard frogs are a good beginner species as long as you give them the right space which is 30 gallons for a pair. I assume that you would prefer a frog that can be housed in a 10 or 20 gallon? Fire bellies, african clawed or dwarfs, whites, AGTFs, grey tree frogs, pacmans, or barking tree frogs are all good beginner species

Tree frogs are typically nocturnal and will be awake and active while you sleep. So they will be calling while you sleep.
Any frog will call, some call louder than others. All the frogs listed have vary different care needs and food requirements. You should find a frog or 2 that you like and then research them, read care sheets and ask question about those ones in particular.
You can buy frogs at a local pet store or at online breeders such as LLL Reptile or Josh's Frogs.
The key and single most important thing after selecting a frog (before you buy it) is to learn what type of enclosure the frog will need. Get the enclosure setup and ready 30 days in advance of your frog purchase. Ask us questions about the enclosure for that frog. Do not ask Pet stores. They give out bad information more often than not and can result in you wasting a lot of money on stuff you don't need. We see those stories far to often....
We are here to help, but you should pick your frog, not us![]()

YES, the AGTF & WTF are very loud. Mine are downstairs in the living room and when they get going we have to stop the TV so we can hear it. Also have to keep the upstairs door closed at night so they don't wake us up. Now if you have females all is quiet, but the female WTF will make a duck like feeding call if highly irritated, like when another frog crawls over her.
