Default Pixie bad at catching food

My pixie has bad aim when eating, and when he misses the food he will sometimes bite his own tongue. Is this a problem?

Default Re: Pixie bad at catching food

All three of my Pyxies have incredibly bad aim-Gherkin more so because he is blind in one eye-and from what I can tell, this is not unusual. Probably why they go after such big prey because they are quick for their size and they have a better chance of hitting their target. I have a special feeding bin that keeps the food close to them and I use feeding tongs to make sure they are getting what they need, especially when it comes to the calcium and vitamins.
