Hello! I've recently adopted a Pacific chorus frog that hitchhiked to Colorado on a limber shipment from Oregon. My boyfriend wants to get a red-eyed tree frog sometime in the near future, and I was just curious if they could be housed together. My Pacific chorus frog is an adult female if that matters.
No. They have extremely different needs to start with and toxins that will poison each other eventually.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
Okay, that's what I suspected. Thank you!
Frog Forum - Red-Eyed Leaf Frog/Red Eyed Tree Frog Care - Agalychnis callidryasThey absolutely cannot be housed together. They have big differences in temp and humidity preferences. Not the mention the red eyes are bigger and may intimidate the chorus frog. It would either end up too wet and hot for the chorus frog or too dry and cold for the red eye. Sorrybut here are caresheets for both species
