Axolotl Begginers Feeding guide

I know i have another thread but i though this could be helpful for those just getting an axie. Anyone who owns or has owned a axolotl please post what you have been feed your pet.

I feed my young axolotl a staple of reptomin frog and tadpole pellets, Frozen blood worms, and trout worms as he is to small for earthworms.

As a treat I give mine wax worms, guppies, Ghost Shrimp, and small crickets.


I also have a question that i have not yet been answered and i am rather curious. Are you able to feed unfrozen pinkies to a adult axolotl. I wonder this because they are about the same size as a leopard gecko and i know some people give geckos pinkies so i wondered whether it could be a rare axolotl treat.
