thanks for the great info, john. i keep a single Polypedates spp. (not sure if it's a dennysi) and model my care off of that used for the White's. do you have any experience with gliding frogs? i'd love to see a care sheet for them if you think there's a difference between them and the White's. he's doing well using the guidelines you've laid out in the above care sheet, but I keep him at a cooler daytime temp (approx. 80F) and am wondering whether they take to handling as well as the White's.

vet time. sounds like worms or at least their eggs. probably needs an anti-parasitic. make sure you tell them that you have more than one because if one of them has it, chances are all of them do or will. are they wild caught?

hello thanks i took them to the local reptile vet.. at first he didnt know what to do but after a bit of time online and the phone he came back at me with some meds.. was a bit hard to feed it to them as they r stubborn lil buggers. but got it done and they r doing great.. i didnt know frogs could get worms.. they wernt wild caught. i got them from a lady who had them from tadds. but she haddnt noticed any problem with them. so dont know where they would of gotten them from.. glad i got onto the frog forum.. i dont know any one who has frogs so having this at home is great.
    thanks

glad to hear they're doing so well. as far as where they get them, without knowing the species of worm, it'd be hard to say. they can come from the soil, water, other frogs, food, etc.

i agree with you: this is a very good site.

Since FF got hacked the care sheet has a 404 error, so here's a link to a care sheet done by John for Reptiles magazine: http://www.reptilesmagazine.com/Care...og-Care-Sheet/

Well how I get to the care sheets is go to articles, and click the mini icon that says care articles (in-between news and vivarium articles)

I wouldn't go any smaller than an 18x18x25 for a pair.

The small-tall 18"x18"x24" Exo-Terra would work in a pinch for a pair or trio of males, but some of the girls can get up to 4+ inches, so I'd recommend an 18"x24"x24" medium-tall Exo-Terra.

Not only does this link not work or the other one you put up, neither does frog tv or anything. i can loo at blogs and threads but frog tv and whites tree frog care sheet will not work. I have one so I need to see it. Also I would like to ask what plastics i could use to make a toy for him that wont seep into his skin if he is exposed to it or if it is exposed to water. I was thinking legos but I need confirmation. also should I be washing my hands in filtered spring water before touching him?

Yeah, the site got hacked a while ago and lots of stuff is still broken.
I would just use normal plastic used for holding food, not unusually soft plastic or old, worn plastic. As far as making a toy, I don't know. But I wouldn't use Legos. As cute as a frog castle would be those things have sharp edges.

Really? After all this time it still works like a charm for me, even with a slower internet connection. Try the link I just copied again: http://www.frogforum.net/content.php...toria-caerulea and if that doesn't work, just click articles, select the small link on the bar slightly below articles that says care articles, and scroll to the near bottom of the page to get to the care sheets. Hope this helped!

Well that works now but still I would love to know about whether i should wash my hands in filtered water or no, and about the toy thing if anyone does know and i can get round and flat lego pieces anyways. Also what about wood? like non splintery wood or driftwood?

Also, should i get a second frog? would my whites do better with a member of its species rather than being alone? Or are they fine?

If you have adequately quarantined your animals, there is enough space for more than one frog (10 gallons per frog typically) and can be sure one doesn't eat all of the other's food, then yes, you probably can

I have 2 white's tree frogs that I have had for a couple of weeks. They are in a 20gal high tank with mesh lid. Behavior and health wise they seem to be doing well but I have gotten a lot of conflicting info on substrate. I read the care sheet on here. I really don't want to use paper towels because humidity becomes an issue and I don't know about frogs but I've had problems with reptiles sticking to the towels. I currently have eco-earth which was what I was recommended. It just concerns me because they get dirty in it and then sometimes can't hold onto the sides of the tank normally. So I ended up adding some spangum moss over the eco-earth and that helped. However, now I am hearing that sphangum moss causes impactions so I'm not sure what the best thing to do would be. I would like to do the drainage layer and all of that but I can't really afford to do all of that right now. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
