    Default Anyone know this plant?

    Does anyone know the green plant in the rear?

    Suppose its some kind of fern, but not sure.

    It looks like some species of palm tree to me probably areca palm. Sorry not my forté lol. Hopefully bill will light things up..

    If so, then that viv will be too small for it

    Its a Kentia palm.

    Most likely a neanthe Bella palm. It will out grow the tank fairly quickly.

    Wife know it. Turns out my father in law have it his garden.

    Its a Yellow palm, butterfly palm.

    Areca, Chrysalidocarpus Lutescens.
    It grow slowly indoors, but it reach 2-3 m.

    Guess I need to seach for a substitute for it ��

    Pothos is always a good plant to use, its native to the frog's range
    and it is extremely hardy even without a green thumb

    It grows fast but trimming t will always keep it smalla nd you get extra plants out of the clippings

Size:  109.5 KBGood thing you figured out what kind of palm you had! The foreground plant looks to be Hypoestes phyllostachya (Polka Dot Plant) they're nice when they stay neat and compact but if you don't keep them trimmed back they can get real leggy. I've had one (was actually a grouping of multi colored Hypoestes) for appx 5 years now and it's a brat, lol, I like Polka Dot Plants though Have taken lots of cuttings from it and made new plants in the past, but need to make more space so am keeping to the one final plant for now. Pic shows leggy plants grown from cuttings.
