Hi,
Just wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. I have always loved reptiles and amphibians and even though we do not have any in the house
now, I love to find them out in the yard. My question is: I have two large green tree frogs that made themselves a home in a piece of pottery on my patio.
They have been living their for the past 3 years or so. I love having them, but my mini schnauzer loves them more. I am very concerned that one night if
I am not fast enough she will tag it and kill it like the Florida anoles that she hunts.I want to know if anyone knows, if I move the pottery somewhere else in the yard
do the frogs tend to stay close to where their home is? or do you think that they will return to the patio? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

! The frogs probably go out to forage during the night. They may go out during the day as well but not as often. Its amazing that they have managed to be able to stay there for 3 years without moving elsewhere or being eaten. That is, if they are the same ones. So the answer to your question is: if they are in the pot when you move it then they will know where it is and where to find it. But that wont stop them from leaving to find food.
