I have 2 whites tree frogs the I recently acquired from work. I want to set up the best possible vivarium home that I can but also stay on a budget. I currently have a few tropical plants that I bought from work, (I work at my local petco..) along with some large aquarium pebbles for a drainage layer, coco fiber on top, and some sphagnum moss over that. They have a shorter terra cotta pot for a hide, and a nice size water dish.
So I guess what I'm looking for is some information on a lot of little stuff.. What leaves are safe to be used as leaf litter? My mom has a jasmine plant in her back yard.., would leaves from that be safe to use provided they are clean? Is there a better, yet cheap, product I can use for the drainage layer in the tank? What can be used as a background they can climb on, but matches the vivarium theme, so-to-speak? What plants are without a doubt safe for my whites tree frogs? And is there any other useful information anyone can tell me? (good places online to get froggie stuff, any places in western WA state to get good prices on amphibian stuff, etc...) I appreciate everyone's help!![]()
