    Smile Doing a new vivarium

    Hi all
Creating a new vivarium for my indian bullfrog.
Just wanted to share this one with you guys and girls on maybe get some hint on the way.

The tank is a 45 x 45 x 45 cm from Exo Terra and the idea is to make a copy of a tropic forest floor.
Have some ideas, but is still trying to figure out how I want to look like.

...finally I got the heat cable, so I could proceed with the creating of my new vivarium..

Attaching the heat cable to the background.
Meanwhile, I dry to two pieces of wood I will use in the oven (at 80 degree C)

...and making an access to the drainage layer; PVC pipe and a filter from a aquarium filter pump.

    First LECA layer in place.

Main layer soil; Spagnum soil mixed with coconut moss.
Notice the PVC pipe to the right. The stone in the front will work as a cover for the pipe.

..the probe for temperature and humidity is hidden behind the "tree"

..and done with the new vivarium.

I wanted to mimic a tropical forest floor since its where my type of frog lives in the wild.
It loves do dick, so it has a thick layer of the soil

    Was quite fun to make!

    Thanks

    Thank you!

I choose to leave stuff like leaf litter it out for now.

Want to be able to follow the frog in that new vivarium.
    Might add it later, tho

Actually I dont know the name off those plants.
my wife bought them in supermarket (a hurry) when I had to make the first vivarium.

    She recognized them from Thailand
