I recently purchased a green pacman myself, thanks for the info on how to setup the frog. I was worried that the tank was to big for a baby frog, I will use a critter keeper until it is big enough to fit in the 10 gal tank. The tanks parameters at this time are 87 degrees and 60% + humidity. I am using an under tank heater, would an overhead heat source be better? Another question would be lighting, at this time I don't have any light fixture on my terrarium. Would it be beneficial to add a light as a uv source
Hi David! Moved your post to a new thread. It's my experience piggybacking into another thread confuses both the OP answers and those of other member.
87F air temperature is too hot for a baby Pacman; need to lower that to 82F day with couple degree drop at night. Also, can't use heaters on bottom with frogs since they bury to cool off. Need to relocate the heat mat to the enclosure side or back. For overhead heat the best is to use a 60W Ceramic Heat Emitter on a dimmer type dome (Fluker's and others make them). Frogs do not need UV; but you can use a low UV tropical type light (2.0-5.0) if so desired.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
