I am interested in getting either red eyed tree frogs or waxys for my 18x18x24 exoterra terrarium.
Can you please offer advice on how many of each kind can be kept in this size enclosure?
Thanks
I would say that the max for the red eyes would be three but two would be ideal. I believe the waxys are bigger so i think that two is the max there.
Litoria caerulea 1.1.0 (White's Tree Frog)
Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis 0.1.0 (Anerythristic Honduran Milk Snake) Tliltocatl albopilosus 0.0.2 (Curly Hair Tarantula)
Aphonopelma hentzi 0.0.1 (Texas Brown Tarantula)
Avicularia avicularia 0.0.2 (Pinktoe Tarantula)
Brachypelma smithi ex. annitha 0.0.1 (Mexican Giant Red Knee Tarantula) Monocentropus balfouri 0.0.2 (Socotra Island Blue Baboon Tarantula)
Harpactira pulchripes 0.0.1 (Golden Blue Leg Baboon Tarantula)
Waxy tree frogs are very large. I would say an 18x18 would be to small for even one. Red eyes are a much better fit for an 18x18. You could fit 2 to 3 in a tank that size.
Thanks!
