Hey everyone, i added a new fire belly, but i've had another for a while. My fire belly ive had keeps trying to eat the new one... Who has had any success with adding another fire belly?
Is the new one significantly smaller than the existing one? Got any pictures?

Okay I think I managed to finally attach a photo, but yes, the new one is the bright green one is in fact smaller than the other. The lady at the store helping me out claimed size shouldn't be problem, but apparently it is then.
How many FBTs do you have? In another thread it was mentioned the frog was ill. Adding more frogs to an enclosure with an ill frog is looking for additional issues.
Has the larger frog actually bit or grabbed with mouth the smaller one? What is the actual size difference among the 2? Thank you!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
I would separate the two. Its unusual that FBTs attempt to eat a tankmate, i have 3
juveniles that took one nip at another toad and never did it again because of the toxins
How often are they fed?

I now have 2. Yes, Irish, the bigger of the two, used to be ill. But i also used to have pebbles in my tank instead.of eco earth. I think i have decided he just had major blockage, because after he passed up multiple, large, rocks, he was good as new. Length wise, the newer fire belly is only one or two centimeters smaller. Width wise, the newer one is half my other frog's size. As an update... I put my bigger frog in solitary hoping that maybe frogs mark territory or spread a scent of some kind so that they could both be used to each other. Now the smaller one keeps climbing on top of tje bigger one as the bigger one tries to get away... Is this harmless fun or an issue?
I've been feeding my established frog every other night, 3-4 mealworms at a time, and i coat the worms in a calcium powder.
