Good morning herps!
In my ongoing quest to be the best damn frog daddy to ever to my little clan, I keep running into little roadblocks along my journey.
Today's question: supplements Reptivite w/D3 & Fluker's w/D3
My dilemma....
I have two PCF's about two months as frogs eating fruit flies daily
And a 2yr old American Bullfrog eating mostly crickets and an occasional earthworm. She's hand fed 2-3 crickets and 2-4 are set free for her to hunt.
She's fed every 2-3 days depending on what's left in her enclosure, which is checked daily.
I have been using the Flukers 2x/wk for both species. After a recent scare with the bullfrog Im adding a vitamin supplement in the mix.
1. Should I use both? Calcium twice a week, and vitamin weekly
2. The Reptivite has calcium and D3 included, am I overdosing them with Cal & D by giving them both?
3. Any other thoughts, opinions, or suggested schedule of supplements?
I have both on hand, and ready to go.
Thanks again for all of your help

Unless you ran a scientific design experiment to compare both with a large frog population; there is no telling which is better. Can use both but be sure to use them alternately on CA dosage days without double dosing. Also, remember not to dose vitamins on same day you dose CA. For sample doses, read this thread: http://www.frogforum.net/food-feeder...schedules.html .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
