Hi, please describe your setup. Humidity, temps etc. Pictures would help very much. Where did you get the frogs?
Hi everyone! I joined FF recently when I had some concerns about my new mossies. Long story short they're not eating and I didn't know what else I should try, so I tried posting a thread for new ideas! Anyways, I have two new mossies. One of them is doing good now. I haven't had a permanent pet frog before, so I'm new to all this frog keeping stuff. I've had frogs and tadpoles that I found in the wild for a few days at a time when I was little (but that doesn't count) So now I have two real frogs as pets. Mossy frogs are super cool and they really are fascinating, and I love having them. They also seemed not that difficult to care for so I guess that's why I chose those frogs to start with.![]()

Hi Basil! If reading this right you now have 4 Mossies; right? Are these frogs in different enclosures or in same one?
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
i am new-ish too. good to meet you! I am so jealous, b/c i want Mossies!!

I have 2 mossy frogs, and I've had them for 12 days. Maybe I wasn't too clear about that. One has eaten and one has not. The one that is not eating looks quite skinny, and it kind of looks like his back is caving in and his bones are sticking out on his back. I keep them in the same 20 gallon tank. They lived together for many months and did fine before I bought them. But I separated them today. I got them from Patrick at Saurian Enterprises. He's been really great trying to help me fix this too. He also suggested putting them in separate enclosures to monitor their eating better.
My real post about this is in the other frogs section (but it probably should't be in there) so you can read more about the problem there. But as for the setup, it is mostly water with two fake plants sticking out and two real plants in an "island" which is a little plastic tub. I have a filter. There is also a big rock sticking out of the water. The humidity is about 80% and the temperatures are room temp. So about 78F during the day and 75ish to 70 at night
