Need advice on red eyed tree frog

i still believe they are all better off separate.

If I was to put the frogs in a different tank, what dimensions would you recommend? Remember I'm still new to owning red eyed tree frogs

Hey, how tall is the frog/snake cage? And how many inches of soil do you have in it?

Daniel: I can do that soil mix, but any idea with the humidity part? I have foggers ( ones that float on water and make a ton of fog that I use in the large terrarium) but that's the only thing that comes to mind. Eli: any idea about dimensions? I can always put the frogs in a separate tank but if they need climbing space, but these are my first red eyed tree frogs.

Cover the screen top with glass or foil. You can still use a heat bulb but I would suggest you use a low wattage (40-60) to prevent the air from drying out. I don't feel like a fogger is needed so long as you limit the ventilation. In the wild ball pythons spend most of their time in humid burrows. A lot of people just look at what's above the ground and consider that their requirements. This is the case with a lot of snakes, lizards and tortoises.

Also as far as what type of sail/sand to use. Go to homedepot and get organic topsoil. It's about a 40lb bag for $2 and childrens washed play sand which is about $5 for 50lb bag. You will probably need a few bags of each.

sorry im having issues with the site. so now im using a computer. the tank is 2 feet tall, and not including the dirt, its 19 inches tall. giving it about 5 inches of dirt. 0h and nice setup by the way. and if you dont mind im going to try to duplicate your tank feature. any other helpful hints would be great

RETF are arboreal so the new tank would need to be tall for them. 24 inches is a good height, exo terra makes a terrarium that tall. Or you can convert a 20 gallon high tank by turning it sideways and getting a conversion kit.

Interesting set up. While not "ideal", it does have everything required for a multispecies tank. Vast space, sight lines are broken by foliage, plenty of hiding spaces. And while the animals aren't all from the same locale, they have similar care requirements, so that works. And since all are insectivores, there is no predation issue. If they have been together for 5 years, I would leave things be.
