So, I am preparing for any possible treatment needed in case they are carriers of the dreaded Chytrid BD. I have spoken with Dr. Frye's assistant, and they can get me the Itraconozole that I may need. I have recently learned that that is a more effective treatment for the fungus. He is ordering the medication for me.

Thank you once again, Dr. Frye!

Did you tested them for Chytrid? Myself would not use any fungal med (other than Pimafix for aquatic frogs) unless disease was present .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Who can resist the toad, not even you!! I've read several articles that the treatment is very successful when caught early. Hope it turns out well for you and your new babies with neg results on the test.

    Thanks .

I do love toads. Gail, these guys act like toads but look like froads, lol! Like a mix. So cute!

Carlos, I have not started any treatments at this time since they are not showing any signs of disease. The treatment is suppose to be safe though. I spoke with both the Infectious Disease specialist and our PharmD buddy at work this past weekend also. They are always interested in the health and disease aspects of the frogs we encounter and talk about.
