I have names for all my tanks, some of the names are not nice names, but names none the less lol. I have grown tired of titling all my builds <size> + <Frog>.

As for my tank, I think I will name it "Dart Frog Tank Number One"

And Paul, looking forward to see this tank!

This past weekend I started pricing out the supplies to get this tank going. The frogs going into it won't be purchased until Springtime at the earliest, but I want to get it setup and running this fall/winter so it has a good amount of time to grow in and get things dialed in properly.

The hardest part so far has been deciding what type of wood I want to use. I have spent hours on various sites trolling for wood, emailing business looking for something... anything that sparked my interest. I think I finally decided the route I want to go and it isn't nearly as inventive as it should be for all the time spent. I am waiting on one more email response and I will most likely order the wood this week and then start finalizing the plant list for this tank. Much to Bill's dismay I will have a fair amount of Bromeliads in the tank, but that is due to the type of frogs I am going to get and breed in Serenity.

Maybe start building this in 4 weeks or so.... Maybe.

When you have all winter to build... That's pretty much where I am at myself. It will be, at least, next spring before I get another frog since we are already getting down into the 30's at night. So I can take my next one nice and slow. I can't wait to see your work though, you always come up with something great!

LoL I suppose it does. We both just enjoy building tanks. I am finally able to move forward and build new tanks and Bill with his newly aquired frog room has lots of tanks and space and that means one thing. Awesome build threads for us all to follow

Yup, we really enjoy the building process. I do have a few planned out, not sure if there will be build threads on them though.

Got a bit of work done on the tank today. I have spent the last month or so looking for some wood to make a tree for the center of this tank. I originally was looking for Driftwood that was branchy and would fit in the 18x18x24 tank and found several I liked, but they just didn't feel right. I looked into using ghost wood and binding a couple pieces together, but never found a combination that looked right. I must have looked at 100+ pieces of wood.

Late last week I decided to buy some Broms from Genesis Exotics just to get them in and growing in one of my grow out tanks.... well because I wanted to do something that resembled forward progress on this tank. The Broms came in today and I love them!

One of the Broms I wanted was out of stock after I placed the order. Josh emailed me to let me know that he had selected another Brom that was similar to the OOS brom and also tossed in a 6th one for free. I couldn't be more pleased with the Broms. Great plants and for $5 each they are hard to beat. Thank you Genesis Exotics!

I had a Manzanita Branch in the build room from an old tank and decided to mount the broms to it for the grow out tank.. Well the more I played with the broms on it the more I realized I had the piece of wood I was looking or all month down in my basement..... lol.

Here it is with the broms mounted and in the tank. The tree is not done, but wanted to share something at least with you all tonight.

I have a few more things arriving this week for the tank. I am not sure what other plants will make the cut, but anyways wanted to share a peak at where this build was headed.

    Thanks for looking.

Hmmm, looks familiar I'm really digging that manzanita though. It was fate that you would look for a month and you already had it. I'm super excited for it

Thank you everyone! I had envisioned the tree to be a big bigger around in my head, but as is always the case the tanks in my head are always much larger than what they are in real life lol. I think anything bigger around would look silly in the tank.

I did a bit more to the tank tonight. Added a piece of drift wood, some little bits of moss, a few vines, and put the cork panel background in. I will get a picture up tonight when I get home. Tomorrow the leaf litter will arrive and then next week I will put the last plant/s in and call it done. This tank will have 4 - 5 months to grow in before frogs are even close to being purchased for the tank.
