mold and feeding

My vivarium is just a couple weeks old and I have that beginning mold in there that I am told is ok. There is a bit on the leaf litter, and some on the wood. My question is, I feed her on a large piece of wood in there, and it does have white spots on it. Is it going to be ok for her to eat on there? What if she ate some of that mold somehow when trying to get a fly? I was considering getting a new toothbrush or something and brushing it off the log, but not sure how well it will work yet. The wood has a lot of grooves.
