Not exactly, I wear gloves only for quarantined animals. For healthy yes it is better to wear them, but you can also wash your hands and rinse them with conditioned water before handling.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
If wanting to see larger animals recommend looking for pics of adult wild caught ones. Myself think that for larger frogs like Pacmans, ABFs, etc.; a ratio of 60-75% of the wild max, is about right for captive kept pets.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
