Male
Female
I am trying to determine the gender of my frog as I am thinking of getting another one (of the opposite gender to prevent issues with not getting along) but I am not 100% sure of what I have...

Possible Nuptial pads?

Turns out its a male, I ended up getting another frog and it keeps mounting the new one.
Well that's one way to find out![]()
The nuptual pads on your toad would be much larger if it is a male, i think yours is a female because
of the extent of the webbing on the foot and the small arms. a breeding frog's nuptual pad should look
something like an Iguanodon's thumb spike. But if you are hearing your frog call in short "whoop" sounds, then
you have proven your caseIf you plan to breed your toad, i would get a 2.1 group for better success. a group
of female frogs will get along fine but be aware if you get males, there may beattempt to mount her constantly,
and if you notice this, make sure to either separate her from them or give a larger land area so she can have a
break from time to time. Good luck![]()
