    Default Water too cold.

Hello again. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on keeping a frogs water dish warm. He gets in the water when I change it and it's warm, but it gets cold after a day and he gets out and buries himself

the water might just seems cold to you. Go with enclosure temp readings, if ok, the water would be ok too.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

    Default Water too cold.

What Lija said. The water temp will cool down or heat up to roughly the ambient temp in his enclosure.

Thanks for the quick responses. It's my ABF. I use a 50 watt red bulb. The day temp is 85°F. Should I put the light over the water or on the other side?

I don't have any experience caring for ABF, but there is a care article on the forums for these lovely frogs.

Frog Forum - African Bullfrog - Pyxicephalus adspersus - Care and Breeding

I skimmed through it and it said to place the eat source on one side of the tank so the frog can move around depending on the temperature he/she wants to be in.

If you haven't already and have spare time and want to learn more about your frog than I would recommend you read it. It is jam packed with gobs of information!
