    Default Amphibian Identification?

So I got this little guy (Roughly the size of my thumbnail) from a lake and decided to take care of him. I'm going to put him in fish tank with dirt and a bowl of water (The bowl will be buried so that the rim reaches the dirt) acting as a pool. Currently we have freeze dried blood worms for him but I don't think he's interested in eating those. He's too small to eat live crickets so I'm not sure as to what to feed him besides those worms and he isn't very interested in them. Either way do you guys know if he's a frog or a toad? I think he's a toad from what I've researched but I'm not sure. Do you guys know what kind of amphibian he is so I can know how to treat him. I know about the living conditions they need but I'm more or less stumped on the food and how to treat them or other things they need. It came from Obed Lake, Alberta.

It is some kind of toad. Make sure the water isn't very deep, they drown easily, and feed it flightless fruit flies dusted with calcium and vitamins.

Okay lol so I already lost it.... I guess I no longer need this thread. I went out and bought a new Toad so I'll make a new thread in the Toad section.

Lost it? Where were you keeping it? A free ranging frog/toad inside a house is probably not going to survive for long .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

That's what I was thinking. Especially not a baby. Are you sure it didn't bury itself in the substrate due to improper temps/humidity? No pet frogs/toads are made to be taken out and played with btw.

I was outside changing the tank since it was too much of a mess to do inside. So I'm sure he's out and about somewhere out there. At least he has a chance now. I'm aware frogs/toads are not meant to be handled too much. I was keeping it in the same tank as my new toad.
