If ordering FFs get D. hydei (about pinhead size = 1/8 in.). The D. melanogaster FFs are very tiny (about 1/16 in.); but might work for the smallest toadlets. If very hot there now, ordering FF cultures might not work OK. Could also feed springtails for the smaller guys. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
The temperature is normally 90F-95F. 85F on a good day. I'm thinking maybe thats why so many pinheads died on the way here, even though it was overnight, next morning. Adults should be able to survive a 1-2 day journey, I would hope. I could buy some pinheads and adults on monday, I figure by the time the pinheads are gone the adults would have already made more. I didn't see any cold packs either for a shipping option. So, yeah...
So Has anyone bought crickets from these sites recently or within the past few months? Any experiences would really help out, thanks everyone.
Ghann's.com, Flukerfarms.com, Mulberryfarms.com and Armstrongcrickets.com. Also, would banded crickets get along with house crickets?
I currently have some house cricket pinheads. If I bought banded cricket pinheads, could I put them in the same container, or would it be best to buy another storage bin for them? Thanks again for reading all that..
